Will you be supporting the late night opening initiative being introduced by the Lymm Traders for the run up to Christmas. Should it be a permanent introduction.

I tried it last year but was on my own! this time the Cheshire Set is next door & it is their late night anyway, but it will only work if enough traders support it & make it worthwhile, plus we need publicity, as discussed at the meeting. is there anyway we can create a more festive atmosphere to attract shoppers, make more of an event out of it? maybe a festive 'safari' - each trader offering free festive refreshment, but a different one at each shop, eg. mulled wine, sherry, mince pie, stollen, chocolates, with a flier in each shop listing all the participating shops & what each one is offering. Hilary, Arches I like the idea of the festive treats, hey, leave the mince pies out of it! (just joking). Dont know if you know but Rotary have a 'Santa float' that travels around in the evening waving at kids and collecting for charity, I am hoping they will start in the village on a Thursday to give it a real Christmas feel. Waiting to hear back from them, but I will chase it up. We are getting posters made up, Gingernut creative have been kind enough to offer to do it free of charge We will distribute them a.s.a.p. Phil

The Cheshire Set Nail Lounge will be taking part in late night opening we are open anyway. Like the idea of offering festive treats, we were thinking of Chocolates as mince pies could get rather dusty at ours due to the nail dust. Mind you not that they would last that long we can go through a bag of sweets from our favourite sweet shop in the village in a few seconds. We are telling as many clients as possible about the late night shopping. Claire The Cheshire Set

Hi all, I realise this won't be relevant to every business as not everyone is opening on Thursday evenings in the run up to Christmas, however, every business could talk it up to their customers. A3 & A4 full colour posters are now available for collection at Harrisons - if you are intending to open it is really important to display your poster asap as the first Thursday in next week. I also want to say a huge thank-you to Peter & Helen at Ginger Nut Creative for designing the poster which is very eye-catching and to Mark Harrison for printing it and standing the cost. Don't delay, put one on display!
