Where is it I here you all ask, well heres the latest news.

Quote:
Although Pay and Display was due to commence 1st May 2009 the Borough Council in their wisdom only ordered the Machines approximately a week ago......... they will take about SIX weeks to arrive Brick wall , however we are informed they will be in keeping with the area

Excuse my french but whoopee bloody dooh, what is it with the Borough, first the fiasco with the setts and then this, its lucky they dont run any pubs, because there is absolutely no doubt they could not run a p*ss up in a brewery d'oh! .

The more I learn the more respect and sympathy I have for our Parish councillors. They must have the collective patience of many saints!

Typical, I'm afraid. Trouble seems to be with local government that officers get promoted at least one rung up the ladder further than they should be!

As for the setts, the latest can be seen at www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk

It would seem from the correspondence from the borough council and contact I have had with National Grid that they each blame the other for the timing of the work. You can take your pick which one you believe!

The borough council have today (May 22) issued a press release which informs us that the pay and display machines will be a "sympathetic colour" and that there will be "minimal signage" because Lymm is a Conservation Area.
They still don't know the date they will be installed but say it will be "this summer."
You can read the full story at www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk from tomorrow (May 23)
